  Knights fight back in loss to Hancock  
 

Despite a six-run deficit in the fifth inning, West Central Area Knights varsity baseball team almost came back, but eventually falling 7-5 to Hancock on Friday. West Central Area Knights scored four runs in the failed comeback on a double by Sam Gullickson in the fifth and a double by Tanner Benett in the seventh.

The Knights fell behind early in the loss. Hancock scored on a single by Zach Copa in the first inning, a stolen base in the first inning, and a single by Cody Greiner in the second inning.

Hancock took an early lead in the first inning. Hancock scored one run when Copa singled with one out in the first inning.
