Schultz leads W/H-N girls in win over Battle Lake
In the busiest week of the season, the Wheaton/Herman-Norcross girls basketball team went 1-3 last week. The Warriors, who are 7-12 overall and 1-4 in the Pheasant Conference, opened up last week with a close 45-43 loss at Underwood last Monday night.
One night later, the Warriors fell at Hancock (56-47), and W/H-N also lost at West Central Area, Thursday (67-60) before ending the week with a win at UM-Morris, Saturday, over Battle Lake (56-46).
The Warriors have another four games scheduled this week, including a game at Sisseton, Tuesday, a game at Ortonville, Thursday (tomorrow), a home game with Clinton-GB, Friday, and another game at UM-Morris, Saturday versus Brandon-Evansville.
WCA leads the Pheasant Conference with a 6-0 record and is 16-6 overall. Hancock (4-2, 14-6) and CGB (4-2, 12-8) are tied for second, while W/H-N is fourth, and Ortonville (0-7, 0-19) is last.
