Knights hold off Lakers for thrilling win

The Knights’ girls basketball team got a nice win last Friday night when the Minnewaska Area Lakers came to Barrett. The WCA girls were ahead by double digits for most of the second half, but then had to hold off the Lakers for the win, 52-49.

The Knights have a busy week before them with three games on the schedule. They host Ortonville and Morris Area on Tuesday and Thursday respectively before traveling to Graceville on Friday to play CGB.

As of now, the Knights (8-3, 1-1) are near the bottom of the Pheasant Conference standings. They are behind WHN (7-0, 2-0), Ortonville (8-1, 1-1), and CGB (6-1, 1-1), and ahead of Hancock (3-3, 0-2).
